Batmans Rogues Gallery

Hello everyone, Im back to my school computer, so I beg you pardon if the quality of the images changed again, is just that this screen has a very different configuration than my other screen.

Since I was a kid, I´ve been a very big fan of batman, specially of the villains, I have always liked how most of them are more insane than evil, how batman comics has a deep psychological background here and there, and most of all, villains designs.

Since this are always changing from artist to artist, from comics to comics and series to series, And since many people around here have made their own versions, I thought, why don't making my own version, and so I did.

My first one is Jonathan Crane a.k.a. The Scarecrow
Scarecrow is a character with a lot of potential, a man who fights using a mix of fear infusing gases and a wide variety of scary paraphernalia. I gave him a puritan pilgrim design, trying to stay close the comics, not the movie, and evoque a superstitious air, somehow related to witch-hunting and american Victorian lore, but keeping it modern, including the gas mask as part of the design.

The second one here is Harvey Dent a.k.a Two-Face
This one is hard, as it is hard to do something that hasn't been done before. Harvey´s face is supposed to contrast, but lets all remember that even if there are 2 faces in Harvey, none of them is sane. I went for a mix between the new Harvey, and the animated one, but taking it to a more grotesque level. His face is badly born, leaving the muscles visible. There is a little bit of bleached hair, but none in his forehead or sides, its all in the back where the acid couldn't reach (I always found hard to believe there was hair where the acid reached) and the eyes is very burnt, almost blind (also thought its was dumb he could see with that eye). Maybe it looks like Tommy Lee Jones design a little.

So, there you have it, 2 batman villains in my style, I´m in a batman mood so expect some more. Added the original pencil/pen sketch without colours, just for the sake of it
