His sole name is used to describe greed, avarice, and unjust worldly gain. A false god of excessive materialism, lust for wealth and unholy richness. He is the demon of Greed.

The second of the 7 princes of hell, Mammon

Mammon is as I have already said, the demon of greed, so I made him the most bizarre representation of greed I could make, so I went for a caricature of it.

First, his head resembles the one of a wolf, as wolves where a common symbol of greed in middle age, the his claws are those of a bird of prey, or a gryphon/dragon, which are creatures known for guarding and keeping treasures. Then I gave him a suit, as Mammon is often described as the banker or casino owner of hell. So all these details put together make what you see up there.

he carries a chest, which is in fact a bottomless chest where he stores and keeps all what he puts his claws on, from gold and jewels to human's souls and blood.
